Fire finding and detection, overheat detection, ice detection, surveying and many other applications.

Our thermal camera system is being developed for use on Airport Fire Engines with a spike to puncture aircraft and fill with foam. The cameras on the Pan/Tilt head automatically track the operators positioning of the spike so that hotspots can be identified. Also being developed as an aid in the de-icing of plane wings.

Hardware:

  • We can supply dedicated hardware to run the thermal imaging software on:
  • Rack mounted PC with up to 18TB of storage.
  • Vehicle mounted PC with ignition control, SSD storage and built in PoE switch to power cameras.

Vehicle Mounted PC

Seperate boot and data disks. Compete with Ignition control and PoE network. Various cab mounted touch screen monitors are available.

Rack mounted PC

Large storage capacity for up to 24 cameras, can be a mixture of IR and normal IP cameras.

Airport Ice Detection

Ice detection testing in lab. Highlighting the area that's below a certain threshold, in this case 0°C. This could trigger recording and or an alarm email or text. See the video below:

Equipment monitoring with an IR camera. Red highlight indicates where the temperature has exceeded the alarm threshold. You can clearly see where the kettle is losing heat - if you wanted to improve its performance, change the thermal characteristics of the lid seal and the water level indicator under the handle. The power cable is also getting warmer than the ambient temperature.
